FAQ
Q:Do I have to stop seeing my family physician?
A:The answer is NO. You may keep your appointments if that is your wish. Hospice of Wichita Falls will work closely with your primary care physician to develop a plan of care that will meet your needs.
Q:How can I get more information or talk to someone about my specific needs?
A:You can call (940) 691-0982, simply stop by our office during regular business hours, or send us a message through the Contact Us page.
Q:How can my family contact me while I am in the center?
A:The direct number to the center is (940) 691-7100. The center phone is answered by center staff or volunteers who will be glad to transfer the call to your room if that is your desire.
Q:How do I know when its time for hospice care?
A:Hospice care is available for those with a life-limiting illness. Hospice focuses on care and comfort (palliative care) rather than curative treatment. Early admission into hospice allows more time for the hospice team to fully understand the needs of the patient and family.
Q:How much will this cost?
A:Hospice care is covered by Medicare, Medicaid, and most private insurance companies. No one is ever denied hospice services due to an inability to pay.
