Q:I thought that hospice services were just for cancer patients?
A:Hospice services are available for any individual that has been determined by their physician to be in the end stages of a disease process. This includes lung disease, heart disease, neurological diseases, including dementia/Alzheimer's and other chronic diseases that are in their final stages.

A:When a patient elects to have hospice services they will be treated by a specially trained team of individuals to meet their needs. Hospice of Wichita Falls treats the patient and family as a whole unit and offers appropriate services. This includes management of physical symptoms, emotional care, and spiritual support. Hospice of Wichita Falls will provide the medications, supplies, and equipment related to the patient’s terminal diagnosis.
Q:What if I sign up for hospice and later decide to try a new treatment that is available?
A:Hospice of Wichita Falls will support you in your decisions for healthcare. If you decide that you would like to try a new curative treatment that is available, you will need to notify Hospice of Wichita Falls immediately so that we can assist you in resuming a curative treatment plan.
